Platzhirsch founders

Gastronomy without the support of colleagues is unthinkable in Stuttgart. In the case of the Platzhirsch hosts, the passionate pub owners first got to know each other while studying. As part of the Oblomow bunch at an earlier point in time, they fulfilled their hard-working dream of owning their own pub. The straightforward, relaxed hospitality they have brought with them to the Platzhirsch.

This is what we stand for at Platzhirsch

We are open. For the old and the new.

We preserve good old traditions when it comes to food. But we also like to experiment, as long as the real good stuff is preserved. With our vegetarian dishes and vegan options, our menu also reflects this. Wir sind international. We are international.
Even though we grew up in Stuttgart, our origins are international. Openness and a casual exchange are therefore important to us.

We provide a place where people can take in new points of view and philosophize. All guests should be able to share their opinions, as long as they do not discriminate, offend or exclude anyone. Racism is not an opinion!

We like to do things on our own and tackle them.

There are so many details that matter and we always want to improve. That’s why there’s always something new. We want to perfect our recipe for Swabian Maultaschen just as much as we want to have the right decoration on the tables, which makes you feel welcome and right at home in the Platzhirsch.

Every now and then, we repaint a wall. We like to reinvent ourselves and surprise ourselves with our own ideas, but we always stay true to our principles.
… when will you show up?
